17 flights of stairs....

So I have this new workout I am doing.... I will take a picture so you can see it better. Anyhow, so I don't know about you but I HATE running inside on a treadmill. I get bored, and I find that before I can even work up a sweat I am trying to talk myself into just even staying on it. I just want to go do other things, and I can't focus for very long. I have found something else. You see, Sean and I live on the 17th story of our building.... And I think you can guess where this is going. I am running it, MORE then one time. It started out with once, all the way up. THEN today I did it down then up, and then repeated that. I am hoping by this Friday I can do it 4 times. I figure I will be in pretty good shape and able to run pretty good by the time we get back to Provo. And I am hoping this helps give me better calves. I think they need just a little more definition. So yeah.. thats it. I will still go to the gym with Sean but I am going to build up my endurance and be lookin HOT! anyhow... so yepp... 17 flights of stairs, up and down twice today! (not counting all the times up and down in the subway just for travel.) Its a great feeling, getting my heart rate up and going like that! The little cute Korean Security guards downstairs think I am crazy. They laugh when I show up at the bottom by the stairs!, and cheer me on when I take off to go up again! Its great!!! anyhow... This is what I did today! (besides going out with Sean to eat and see all the things there is to see in Seoul)

KOREA pictures!!! YA YA YA

These are all in black and white... I was just playing! They seem to look better this way anyways! MAN I LOVE IT HERE! hope you love my pictures!!!

Korea korea KOREA!

O my.. So being over here has been wonderful. I love it. the people, the culture, the food. Everything. It makes me happy to get up in the morning and to be able to get out and see this life here. In America I don't think twice about many things outside my home and the country I live in. What a narrow mind set that is. People here learn about the United States from day one of school (we're talking Preschool so age 3) and about other places and different kinds of people. They live in a rather large bubble that doesn't just consist of their family, school, work and social group. And I love it here. I am so thankful for the chance Sean and I have had to be over here. And to meet the wonderful, giving, loving, and cultured Korean people. I want to live here one day. I am hoping and praying so hard that Korea holds a permanent place for Sean and I. I would love that. And I want to bring all of my family and my friends over to see how wonderful it is. I have never met so many people interested in where I came from, who I am, and what I am doing here. I love it. I will miss it when we leave. We only have a short time left but I will take full advantage of it. We have only 21 days left. o.. that's a sad thought. But we will come back. I hope you all get to travel a little bit, outside what you know. See what else is out there. What people are out there!

HAPPY FATHER's day DAD!!

Hello there daddy floyd! Actually, you probably don't read this! BUT I just wanted to tell the whole wide world how wonderful you are!
My dad... memories start so early its hard to decided what to write. My first memory is fishing... You love to fish, always have, and I am sure you always will. I remember walking to Jack's pond and me in my little shorts that mom made me and getting ready to spend time with my dad! and randall too! You were so good at fishing, and you always knew right where to cast. And throwing those slugs into the water that were in the bank! Haha Opening day of bass season!? WE were THERE! EARLY in the morning! Ready to cast and take home our catches!
Hiking too! That was when we were younger, not too much when I got older. I realized that I liked a bed better! I had to carry a pack and I always ended up sleeping on a rock! It may not have been there when I fell asleep but for sure by morning there would be a HUGE rock under my little back!
Then there were the Mariner's games... I was too loud to go really, And I only wanted to watch cheerleaders cause they were pretty, and of course baseball doesn't even have them! mom and I were too loud together, we had to go separately! hahha and for our birthday which we share the outback or red robin and a baseball game! Those were my favorite days! A night out with my dad!
Remember when you taught me how to drive? The white car? And I was terrified! But you taught me so well, I can drive anywhere, in anything, in any kind of car! I can't tell you how many times I had been driving and a boy would say "you are the ONLY girl I have ever seen that was a good driver!" hahaha I would just smile and say "well, thats what my dad taught me to be!"
Then there were the pageants, you were my perfect escort. In all the pictures of us on stage you were smiling so big because you were so proud that you were my dad. All the other girls' men were no where NEAR as good as you! Practicing where to put your hand, on the outside of your suit coat or the inside... And doing everything just perfect! (like your garden!) And the other girls wanted to to be theirs so bad! I didn't want to share! haha Remember when i won!?? Miss Washington Teen 2004!?? And by the time you got up on stage you were crying and had called everyone important in your phone to tell them! that I WON! your little girl! Not just Over all, I did everything! talent, evening wear, interview, intro! All of it! You were so proud and it showed right on your face!
Everything I ever did you were there for me. From teaching me how to make popcorn! So I could stay up late with you and watch movies! To my wedding day. With a big proud daddy smile on your face! Thank you for everything. I love you dad!

love your little princess!!!!

HAPPYBIRTHDAYMOM

hey there mom! I just wanted to put together a little list of things you taught me to do... in all the years you have given me, you gave me more then you knew, more then I knew too so don't feel bad!
it all started at a very young age.... I don't remember everything but a few things I do remember....
1. I remember washing my hair by myself (with a bar of soap...) just the ends. Not up top by the roots. but I was going to do it just like you told me.
2. Cutting my hair. Boy was I good at that. I still do it. To this day I will cut my bangs and nothing else, of course not as short as I did, never to the scalp again. But I don't let anyone else do it.
3. Saying my prayers, you taught me how to do it. How to get down on my knees and pray.
4. Jesus Christ. You taught me who he is, why he loves me, and where I can go EVERY Sunday to learn more about him and how to be better. You gave me the first bits and pieces of my testimony.
5. How to sing. Haaa. there way music at our house since I was little. The first song I remember you loving, and teaching me to love was "Grandma's Note" I still know all the words and can sing them. Every time that song comes on in the car I tell Sean about it... He knows the story very well. But I still tell it.
6. How to curl my hair... you got me that old curling iron and showed me how to do it.
7. How to take care of our animals... Good Dog Carl. you told me it was okay to cry when he died, and you stayed up with me.
8. When I had growing pains you taught me how to take care of it, of course nothing made it better like you rubbing it out, not the hot bath, or the heating pad, or me doing the rubbing. There was something in you doing it for me.
9. How to make Carmel popcorn, and you didn't make fun of me too bad when I used the wrong kind of coco. ( drinking... not baking)
10. How to walk on stage, in front of hundreds of people talking, singing, dancing, wearing high heels and doing my best and really having fun. I saw how you were so confident in your abilities, but also in me. I could do anything. (it did help that we won all the time too...)
11. You taught me that you could dance... HAAA on stage, in front a tons of people and when you fell you did a SPIN move the world had never seen just to make me happy! The girls loved it!!!! And I was again, so proud to yell "THAT'S MY MOM!!!!" from the crowd, in the front row.
12. You taught me how to do dishes, clean, laundry, and all that.
13. How to work, getting a job was easy, if I could just get in for the interview. That is something I learned from you.
14. I can talk to anyone anywhere, about anything. because you taught me people are good and if you show an interest in others, it can help them and show them that people are still good.
15. Being a girl. you taught me all the things that a girl needs to know about looking good, but about how being good was more important.
16. How to love. Everyone that comes into my life leaves a little footprint on it. And its the same the other way as well. Leave a good footprint. You loved everyone we met. Remember that game. The compliment one? you say one then I say one... usually a waitress?? back and forth we went. Telling them EVERYTHING we could think of that was true...? ha now its just a natural habit. people don't say enough good things. If I see something, or hear something and I appreciate it I tell them.
17. How to sew. Remember when I used to mess up your sewing machine all the time? I was making those little purses.... HAAAA and pillows, and whatever else i could put together?
18. You taught me how to be funny.... haaa and boy am I funny. well, Sean thinks so. He still says that I am the first girl he met that he thought was funny, he said girls just are not funny... BOY was he wrong. He had never met a Floyd girl.
19. How to make a decision and follow thruuu, you said whenever I made up my mind that was it. Nothing else. I just did it. And that is because you taught me to be strong, to know what I am doing and to do it. To ask for help when I need it. But to do it. Never drag it out!
20. YOU TAUGHT ME HOW A MOM is. and one day, when Sean and I have babies I will be a GREAT mom because you taught me how. You showed me every day of my life how much a mother loves her child. You were my mamma bear. and I love you.

I read a note my grandma wrote back in 1923,
Grandpa kept it in his coat And he showed once to me
He said now son you might not understand
But a long long time ago,
Gandma's daddy didn't like me none
But i loved your grandma so
We had this crazy plan to meet
And run away together
Get married in the first town we came too, and live forever
but nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead
I found this letter, and this is what it said:
If you get there before i do Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I dont knwo how long I'll be
But im not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
'Cause between now and then,
till i see you again I'll be loving you, love me
I read these words just hours before
My grandma passed away
In the doorway of the church where me and grandpa stop to pray
I know i've never seen him cry In all my 15 years,
but as he read these words to her,
His eyes filled up with tears.
If you get there before i do Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I dont know how long I'll be
But im not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
'Cause between now and then, till i see you again I
'll be loving you, love me
If you get there before i do Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I dont know how long I'll be
But im not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
'Cause between now and then,
till i see you again I'll be loving you, love me

"look I'm SEAN!"

so Emily, the little girl I am tutoring... I went there to see her mom yesterday and to teach her english lesson... What did she do? She got a bunch of tissue paper and wadded it up and stuffed her sleeves and walked around flexing saying "Look! I'm SEAN!" it was awfully funny. Its safe to say I was not prepared for that! On a side note, her english is coming along very nicely! She can communicate what she needs thats for sure, or what she wants to you know! hAAAA funny girl. Love that family!

Seoul Land

Here we spent the day with Sean's room buddy from the lawfirm, and his family. They took us to Seoul Land and out to dinner. It was a really good long day. We enjoyed it very much. I can't even tell you how much fun Sean had with Emily and Danny, he loves kids and they love him. Running all over and playing together and loving every minute of it. I was only jealous for a little bit of that really cute 9 year old girl that was playing with Sean. They were so happy spending the day together, with the rest of us as well. There were smiles all around. They picked us up at 11 that morning and off we went. It was so much fun, more geared towards the kids but thats what we were there for! We got to see the animals, and even actually got to feed a Giraffe (well a whole family of them, baby included) their tongues were sick... like slimy sandpaper. BUT it was really fun. Emily was to scared to feed them but thats fine cause I got to give them her food! We also rode some roller coasters (and by we I mean Sean and the kids and their dad) I wasn't feeling too good that day. But its fine! We really had a great time. And we are so blessed to have them in our lives. This couple has been on my mind and in my prayers lately... they have taken a special place in our hearts. And the neat thing is her and I have been talking about all sorts of things, she wants to go see the temple in Seoul, and her and her husband asked if they can go to church with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be wonderful. We love them and would be so happy to share that part of our lives with them. Anyhow.. Here is our daY!

It was a blast. enjoy the pictures:

ACCIDENT in korea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow.. crap.. so In Korea they have moving ladders, for moving your furniture up into your 25th story apartment.... so it goes up and down the building on the outside with people on it and your stuff... well the wind was really bad on Wednesday this week and knocked one over. It was extended almost all the way and the steel got bent like 25 feet about the truck it extends out of and it all came crashing down. No one was hurt from the looks of it but it left a huge mess. The ladder came crashing down onto the building next to it and scraped the side of it as it fell to crush the entrance to the building we were in. The damage is pretty bad but I will be there today to check it out. Its at the house I am working with at where it fell. I will let you all know.

6 months....

So Sean and I just hit the 6 month mark!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOP WOOOOOOOP! I love that man. I thought I knew plenty about him when we got married, not everything mind you, we had only known each other 2 and a half months when we got engaged but BOY am I a lucky girl. Sean is an amazing husband. He grows more and more apart of my existence, my whole soul "every second, every minute, every hour of EVERY day" He is so funny, and loving, and he fits in anywhere. Everyone we meet loves him, it's an instant thing. My girlfriend's boyfriends fall in love with Sean. Of course not one of them has the same love for him that I do (that's a good thing..) But I understand. From the moment you look at his eyes and talk to him, hear him speak, then crack a joke at your expense, and put you in the vice grip, you are lost. Lost to his charm and his good looks, and his sweet face and quick smile.... anyhow No more mushy stuff... Lets just say I love my husband and I am so glad he picked me. That out of all the girls he knew, he chose to not give up on me. SEAN CHRISTOPHER STEWART I love you. Thanks for marrying me....

love your wife
LAUREN STEWART

pictures from Korea!! number 2

These kids are the ones that I am going to tudor here, instead of teaching a class I am going to be a private tudor! I am really excited about it. And they are so good. And probably 2 of the cutest kids I've ever seen!! Her name is Emily (thats her english name) and his name is Danny (his english one as well)

These pictures are of the lanterns at the largest working temple in Seoul. All of the lanterns have wishes, or prayers on them. They stay up for a month. The colored ones are for their living friends or family. These white ones are for their family or friends that have passed away. There are so many. Its a stirring site.
These are the budda's inside that they are praying to. there was so many people it spilled outside into the courtyard.
