So... here it goes! Another day in our journey. We left St Louis at about 5am and I drove this time. That's why were are not many pictures of the drive. But let me tell you.. It was beautiful. Green. Everywhere. It was gorgeous. It did manage to pour down rain the entire 6 hour drive. BUT when we pulled up it stopped. Again. It was gorgeous. This was a nice short trip and again.. my sweet baby didn't make a peep. Just talked and played in the back while mommy drove. Sean took the wheel the last hour or so and that was nice. BUT I was so excited to see my family I couldn't sleep. I haven't seen My Uncle Lou and his kids since i was.. like... 20??? I think was the last time.. So it's been a long time. AND Sean still hasn't met most of my side of the family because the Floyd's and the Marshall's are all over. So .. this was fun for me.
And here is what my car looks like parked outside my Uncle's house in Ohio.. Cute huh?? Still LOVE it.. yep. She is ours!!
Chase's first standing up shower.. oh my goodness. It was so funny to see him stand in the back just hanging out and ready to get all cleaned up.
While we were there... (We stayed till about 3pm the next day)
we played the piano.. with out feet...
We painted all the girl's toenails.
We watched movies.
We did a tickle fight
We ate Japanese food
and we hung out and rested.
it. was. fantastic.
AND THEN... we went to the Air Force Museum and it was really, really cool. Sean's dad was an
Air Force Pilot for 14 years. That's how Sean grew up. Moving all around. Hearing his dad talk about the planes and what he did. Chris flew the B1 Bomber. So... we went and saw one.. HOLY HUGE. I didn't have a CLUE how big this thing was...
Cute Chase with Cute Cousin Erin. He LOVED the girls. Which is kind of funny.. Mostly he likes:
Mom. Dad. Grandma. Aunt Meggie. Kristin(and that's all)
This is the side of the B1. I took better pictures from about so you can see it.. They are towards the bottom...
Here Chase is looking inside the plane... WOWIE!! SO fun to learn about big boy things with daddy.
Ok.. Here is the B1.. Straight in the back... You can't even really tell how huge it is.. even still. But it was honestly the coolest thing I've seen. I can't imagine Chris flying one of those. They are so big it's almost like a huge wild animal.. (I know weird thought...) But seriously.. They seem to big to be controlled by a person.
Here they also had a huge section on the Cold War.. It was heartbreaking. They had life sized POW cells with life-sized plastic dolls in there... and stories all over of prisoners who were missing their lives here in America and their loves. It breaks your heart. BUT it was very cool to read about how they adapted and figured out ways to communicate and send messages.
