almost THerE!! THANK YOU ALL

Okay guys... Its getting closer and closer.. Its the LAST day of October today, so... HAPPY HALLOWEEN. AND I AM GETTING MARRIED in 22 DAYS!! HOLLA! lets see... check list:
  • Groom: CHECK (GOT me the BEST ONE EVER)
  • Family: CHECK (thank you EVERYONE who is traveling to see this BLESSED day!)
  • Announcements: CHECK (just this week though.. sorry about that! THANKS mom and dad!)
  • Temple Reservations: CHECK (Thanks EVIE!)
  • Dress: CHECK (ooo yeah.. got it a while ago. just need it dry cleaned!)
  • Rings: CHECK (oooooooooooooooooooooo yeah beautiful if I do say so myself)
ummmmmmmm.. and I am sure there are more but I am to excited to really think of anything else. As of today Sean and I are still apartment hunting and trying to get rid of our contracts. BUT I think we found one (I emailed it to him today he still hasn't seen it BUT we will go tomorrow to look at it) So much to do but you know what? MOST of it is done thanks to our wonderful families. My mom and dad running around doing everything they can think of.. (Well... my dad isn't running.. he is hobbling, he makes a trip to the emergency room right before his children's weddings.. same thing with Randall and now with me as well! you can ask him about that, so using crutches he walked as best as he could all over town for me, the post office, buying cutesy stamps for the envelopes, taking them to me mother, labeling them, printing out invites to the temple and luncheon etc. Really, whatever I needed he was doing because he couldn't really go to work and carry anything heavy or do much after the tumble he took at work the other day. SO SHOUT OUT TO MY DAD! thanks DADDY!) The invitations turned out to be an all day thing, arranging and rearranging, sounds fun to me! So thanks family for doing that. My mom said my dad did an amazing job because "Well, its for Lauren". THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Mom.... MAKING my DRESSES for my girls... O yeah! all SEVEN of them. And a winter coat.. and anything else she could get her hands on.. wall hangings quilts... and anything else! LOVE it. THANKS
AND... Evie my to not soon enough to be MOTHER-IN-LAW. What didn't she help with? All I know is I could call her and she would be on it so fast! From setting up our room and time and date at the temple, going with me anywhere that I may need to be. AND of course.. In the middle of the night scanning and emailing me pictures for our slide show! And just being there especially with my family so far away. Thank you Chris and Evie!
I can't even tell you all the hands that have reached in to help with whatever they can since the exciting news came out. Bridal showers, open houses.... bachlorette parties! Everything. Cassidy even helped me with a slide till SUPER late the last two nights as well! THANKS CHICKY. And with all their help it has taken so much stress off of Sean and I and given us more time to spend together (even though that still doesn't seem enough for us) and made this a whole family effort towards our goal... MARRIAGE! only 22 more days today! Till we are going to the temple and we're GONNA get married! GOING to the temple of the LORD!

Lauren sayings: Translated into Korean

OOOO Thank you: 당신을 감사하십시오

Kiss me quick: 저를 빨리 키스하십시오

Kiss me like you love me: 당신 같이 저를 사랑한다 저를 키스하십시오

Hey cute boy: 어이 귀여운 소년!

Sean has been teaching me some of them and he is VERY nice and tells me I actually do a good job... We shall see about that when I try my Korean there. He knows what I am saying, like a mother who understands her muttering toddler.... He understands me.

My plan is to use my Korean whenever I can get away with it. But since the few things i know include: "Kiss me like you love me, Thank you, wanna die today?, are you stupid?, beautiful, no, yes..." and I think thats about it I will have to work REALLY hard to be able to use them. So i might resort to randomly spitting them out.... "KISS ME LIKE YOU LOVE ME!" Excuse me ma'm? YOU HEARD ME! but I will have to say "YES"haha Just jokin.. But that would be funny! Anyhow.. I can't WAIT to head over there!!! Hopefully I will have a bigger vocabulary by then, and then when I get home! Anyhow... Can't wait to try my Korean out on ya'll

Also I learned about South Korean Fan death... Sean told me about this. Both him and I have slept with fans on.... So we hope something doesn't happen when we move there that makes this possible for us too, not just South Koreans. Interesting story. Go ahead and read it. I didn't believe Sean all the way as he was telling me about this, I thought he was half way joking but he was NOT! Anyhow.. I am going to do some research about Korea and find out everything I can about it, and I have Sean to ask questions so hopefully I will be well adjusted ASAP when we go there and when I come home I will PRACTICALLY be Korean.

maybe Sean and I will have a bilingual baby someday!???

We are GOING to KOREA!

KOREA HERE WE COME!!!!
Sean and I are headed to Korea! I am so excited. I can't wait to go. We just got offered the externship yesterday! For those of you who didn't know, Sean applied for an externship there this coming Summer. He will be working for a Korean Law Firm and ENJOYING it FULLY! I will hopefully be teaching english and I want to volunteer at an orphanage there as well. I love children and I can't wait to go there And the kids there are so cute and sweet and funny and I just know I will love them!!! Sean is really excited as well, he served his mission there and has been back a few times since then, but this last summer was the first summer he had stayed here in the states, (GOOD THING!) So we are both REALLY looking forward to be going there. We will have been married for six months when we head there!!! We will be going probably next May, or shortly there after! We will be going to Seoul. I can't wait to travel
and see everything there is to see there! I went there a few years ago when my brother
served his mission there. I got to go pick him up with my parents. I had trouble
eating the food, speaking the language (as in NONE at all really...), understanding,
and keeping the food in me! BUT I loved the people, the sights, the culture, and the land and the bath house... (it was very interesting but it was a good experience)! It was so different.
CULTURE shock. And I am american and I have huge blue eyes so the people there make you feel beautiful and wonderful "movie star?" That is was I head, and from what I understand it was the same for Sean. It was so funny. Anyways I found some pictures
online of Seoul and I uploaded them so you can see what I get to see!
So here you go, enjoy!

I think that is the subway on the left there....

The streets in Seoul, very busy and lined with skyscrapers. People EVERYWHERE

Shopping in Korea is UNLIKE anywhere I have ever been!

Not sure where this is actually, but it's BEAUTIFUL
Here are they in their traditional dress (can't remember what they are called)

Kimchi (ROTTEN CABBAGE!) solid and soup forms. 3

Rice rolls
more food.....

You just wait till you see pictures of our bathroom when I get there and our kitchen..
I can't wait to see what it is like to REALLY live there.

DIP me!??.. wait.. WHAT!

Okay. Has anyone ever danced!???.... hmmmmmmmm well funny story from this weekend.. Sean was at my house and he was doing his homework (for the most part) and he had gotten up to come be by me for a second and was swaying to the music playing, "Sean, are you dancing with me?" I asked. "Yes" came the reply. My roommate Jess says "Hey Sean, you know Lauren LOVES to Salsa can you do that?" the response came back negative but followed by "I only do American dancing, with a slight British influence and some Scott as well." UM OKAY! where did that come from! hahahaha I was laughing he was completely serious and as cute as ever. So he asks me if I can teach him so I proceed to teach him to Salsa, one step back and he is supposed to mirror me. I told him that, that was a good position to do a dip in. And he said okay. So as I leaned back the surprised look on his face gave it away... he might not have been sure what I meant, or was not ready. Down we both went onto the floor. He dropped me. RIGHT onto my back in the dining room. I was HOWLING at this point. His face completely gave away his surprise. I can't be sure if he even tried to catch me. It all happened so fast. Then there we were on the floor. Everyone laughing... Still not quite sure how that happened. Well it did.
Shortly there after I was still teasing Sean about his dancing, and (which he still says he is good at and I am going to just believe him) I had gone to the fridge and gotten an apple. I took a bite and tried to suck the juice from it and sucked a HUGE chunk of apple into my throat. Cut off my air way (well.. PRETTY much..) and I was choking. I couldn't get it out and guess who thought I was joking?.. Yep.. Sean. He let me choke. He says "Lauren, can you be quiet? I am TRYING to study?" haha!! Yep, let me choke a little MORE quitely. While I was choking he was studying away. I was running into the wall trying to pop out the apple I hit myself against the counter... ( Obviously I am a VERY good actor, sacrificing my body for th show) and I ended up on the FLOOR AGAIN for the second time that night. Within like 15 minutes. I was laughing while choking, Sean just kept on doing his homework. Good student that he is, and I worked and worked until finally I choked out my apple. Of course the whole time I was doing this, he was of course completely aware of me and had I been in any real trouble he would have saved my life I have no doubt, but it was so funny to see him REALLY not believe me. I was laying on the floor when Sean finally got up to check on me. "Lauren," he says " WHAT are you doing on the ground? Its DIRTY! You should probably get up" As he pulls on my arms bringing me back upright all the way to a standing position. WOW. I was laughing so hard I couldn't believe it.
He is the funniest man..
I Love him. Love him so much. I still can't quite believe how he came to be a part of my life. And he puts up with me, he teases me, and won't let me get away with anything. Which is good.. I am kind of ornery and I always needed someone who could stick up for themselves lovingly and act like they loved me... And Sean is my man! Anyhow.. I hope he always knows that I love him so much.. I try. I really do. And even when I am tired and he has to be patient with me I know how much he loves me... Anyhow.. LATER YO!

Conference weekend!

So I would have to say the this weekend was a success! My parents and my baby brother came for conference weekend. To go to conference but to also meet Sean's family. I did not worry for a second about either families. Both are SO wonderful. They are actually quite a bit alike and that made for a fun weekend with a very full house. My parents along with Trevor (my little brother) and his buddy Braden, and then Sean and I stayed in Farmington for the whole weekend hanging out, eating, joking, laughing, taking economic crisis and just getting to know one another. I am so blessed with such a big fun loving family. And my family loved theirs, I got raving reviews from them when i dropped them off at the hotel last night. I LOVE MY LIFE! (And only 47 days till I get married to Sean. Six weeks and 5 days! )
So this weekend, we had a full schedule. Starting off right from the airport we headed to Cabela's. Just for my dad. He has been holding to a gift card for there and not been able to use it. AND BOY was it burning a hole in his pocket. My mom and I went too. Yeah... I know Funny picture, can you just see it. High heels and fancy pants walking all over the largest sporting goods store EVER invented? It was as ridiculous as it sounds. I promise. We tried on all the funny hats, (camo hats? and snow camo hats? and also some funny ones.. not sure what their purpose is, but I KNOW you could rob a bank in them SCARY) So after running around trying on the hunting attire and pretending to be the animals we were off onto bigger and better things!
THE OUTBACK steakhouse. Another novelty my parents don't have in Arcata, CA. So yes we took the whole crew there, mom dad, Lauren and Sean, then Trevor and Braden. It was fun, and also VERY entertaining. Trevor has a broken elbow and he STILL ordered a full rack of ribs and finnished them all before the rest of us are done and they were completely cleaned off! He looked rather funny while doing it but he was rubbing his tummy and sitting back waiting for the rest of us to finnish. Gotta love my little brother. And of course my dad made his faces that he does, twisted lips and all that. And mom and I just smiled and ate our dinner while Sean took it all in.
Of course we had to pause and take some pictures (which I will upload later) But it was so entertaining to see my family in action, even though they were not all there. If you can just imagine all the jokes and stories and faces times three that would be it.
Let's see... So we did all that then finally we were off to Sean's parents house in Farmington. It was so much fun. I LOVED to watch them all together. I love them all so much it was so amazing to see it, my two families all in the same room. I love them all. Anyhow.. Lots of fun. AND also my Mom got to see conference for the first time IN the conference center, and my Dad I think too. The protesters outside really surprised them. My mom couldn't believe it.
And also it was neat to share that with Sean. That was our first conference together. It is so neat and very touching to be able to walk into the conference center and be able to share my faith and hope and love of Heavenly Father with Sean. And he supports and feels the same. It blows my mind. What a way to start our lives together. Built on trust and faith and a goal that is the same for our eternal future.

I am getting MARRIED next month...

October is finally here, and that means NOVEMBER is almost here. Sean and I are getting married next month! I can't believe I finally get to say that!!! It is coming down to it finally. I feel like its been taking forever! I know I haven't had to wait as long as some, BUT almost 22 years trying to find him NOW I just want to be with him all the time. "Every second, every minute, of every hour of every day." When he studies, when he works out, when he sleeps, when he is eating etc. You get the picture. ALL THE TIME.

So... 'all the time' started a while ago. When I am not working all I want to do is be next to him, but the time spent together while he is studying began recently. As in, he tried to read while I colored pictures. And all I am saying about that, is if we don't get coloring books and crayons soon he will be out of lined paper and highlighters! I made him two books the last two days. Stapled together and all, made for Sean with tons of love from me. I got to practice writing my last name to be and also write him love notes, my final project of the night was a page of fireworks. That was going to take a while but by this time Sean was ready to go. I think the noise of the markers on the paper was too much... :) He still says he has never heard of a 22 year old that actually wants to color. This does not in anyway seem unusual to me, but okay. I love to color, and the fact that it amuses him makes me happy. So hopefully soon I will have some beautiful colored princess pictures, maybe even a few landscape ones? I will have to keep them all so I can see how much time I spent making pictures while Sean was studying. So next time you are in town ask to see my collection! I am sure it will be GREAT!
This is the link for the lady who did our photos in California, if you click on August you can see our family pictures and mine and Sean's engagement ones. There are really cute pictures of my nieces and my brothers and little sister!
