So here is our journey leg by leg! We left Friday morning (August 31st) bright and early.. Much later than we had planned actually. We wanted to head out at 3am (so that Chase had LOTS of time to sleep in the car before he decided to wake up for the day) We slept in.. We couldn't get to sleep the night before.. BUT not for lack of trying. Chase was up all night long.. I even brought him into our bed twice and we NEVER do that... Well.. It didn't matter.. All Chase wanted to do was be held.. by mom.. he knew something was changing and life was happening to him and he had not a clue.
Anyways.. Said bye to friends and family the night before and packed up the car! We were ready to go! and go we did! Chase slept till about 9am and then we stopped at Denny's/truckstop city and got out to use the restroom and change diapers (well.. only one diaper.) gas up and then hit the road again. Chase went back to sleep! We didn't arrive in Denver till about 3 and Chase had started to complain about 20 minutes before we go there. But stopped after just a few sounds and then he was content just sit and wait it out.. umm.. HELLO Miracle and THANK YOU FOR THAT! Nice... It was a great first leg to our long journey! And actually??.. dare i say it.. FUN!!!

can't believe you are making the drive with a toddler! so brave, but Chase is such a sweet boy he probably makes it easy!
