i did it!

stuck myself with a needle last night. gonalF right in my belly. Chase sat by me and cheered mommy on. It went quick and there was no pain. I'm excited to go to the DR's on Tuesday, after one more shot tomorrow, to see where we are with the growth on the follicles.  I was surprised at how smoothly it went. I had such a busy day yesterday and I only had a few minutes home in the evening to do it before I was back to work again. I had a family photoshoot in the early afternoon what we did makeup and hair for and then we drive down to Mason Neck State park for the actual pictures. THEN I had a rep dinner with my spokesmodels to go over all the details for their work. I worked till 1am this morning. BUT from 6:30 to 7:50 I was home doing dinner and putting the wee baby to bed.

babies, infertility and meds again!

I had really planned on not mentioning anything till we are actually pregnant.. Then I remembered.. When I was trying for Chase? The other women out there blogging away about their experiences helped me through the hard times and made me feel much less alone. It was like a support group of women who had no idea they were supporting me.
Well.. It's official. We found a fabulous DR and have started taking medicine again!!

The meds this time??:
Metformin (pill) (For my insulin)
MedroxyProgesterone (pill) (Estrogen)
Clomiphene Citrate (Pill) (Clomid to help form the cysts that will be grown into eggs by the next drug listed)
Follistim(Injections) (A steroid to help my TEENY TINY cysts grown into full grown cysts so they can be popped by HCG and officially ovulate)
Ovidrel  (injection) (HCG stimulant to mimic a body's natural HCG surge to cause Ovulation)

We are hoping life changes for us quickly and are so excited to add to our family. Chase is quite excited about the possibility of a baby boy brother (his words) We had recently explained to him that boys are like him and daddy and girls are like mommy and mamma (grandma) he promptly asked for a baby boy. At some point we explained to him about baby brothers or sisters and which is boy and which is girl. So at the DR's office he asked for  a "baby boy brother please"

The DR was shocked and of course by this point she was deeply in love with my sweet toddler and she responded "No wonder you want another child. We will make you one just like him!" She promptly showered him with gifts out of her desk. He was thrilled. She provided him with paper and pens to color with and 3d lobster stickers to put on his hands. He kept saying "Thank you! thank you!!"

The whole visit was great. I had blood work done while I was there (they didn't even make me schedule it! They just planned to have it done! Which is what my office in Utah did but the 3 previous offices out here did not) And they had all my medical records and had already made a plan up for treatment. I was impressed, beyond satisfied and 150% happy and ready to go. They even had a nurse assigned to help me with Chase while I was getting my blood done. She is also the one I talk to every time I call or need to schedule anything. YAY! Three cheers for this office! The wait was worth it!  And so our journey begins! Baby #2 come home to mommy!! And big brother Chase! Of course daddy too. But mostly when they are tiny they are for mommy.... ;-)))

Arlington Cemetery. We will honor you.

Trying to put into words the feelings and pride that overcame me when stepping onto this ground is hard for me to do. But I will say, the pride in God, Country and soldiers was nearly overwhelming. It feels good here. Beyond good. No selfish feelings just gratitude and love for those who have served and given their lives and also their loved ones who served from home while supporting their soldiers. It is by far my favorite place in DC. This is something everyone needs to experience.
I made it to Arlington. I will go back. And my children will go back and they will learn and be thankful just as I am. Thanks to our men and women in arms who have served us and our country and made the ultimate sacrifice.

OH MYGOODNESS!

I'm taking a 5 minute sit down break.. BECAUSE WE ARE PACKING UP TODAY! and tomorrow.. and then?? we will be moving out MONDAY! I'm running around in a whirl wind... cleaning.. mostly making a mess actually.. and packing! and then Monday we are moving our stuff into storage! And then.. Tuesday Cleaning CLEANING CLEANING! so they can rent our apartment out by the 1st.. Already went and picked out our storage unit today.. and picked up a boatload of boxes and tape! and now.. just to pack all our stuff and move it on out!

So when you call and I don't answer.. It's because I can't find my phone.. Or i can't hear it. Or I don't have time to grab it. Or... it got packed accidentally... Or my son has it. So there are a number of reasons! But seriously.. I probably lost it.

And here are some pictures of the last week! Before we disappear off the grid for a couple weeks!

Here are some pictures of our car from the ad!! WE ARE IN LOVE!! IT's SO GORGEOUS and the price.. couldn't be matched! We tried believe me.. We were going between 2 of the same cars at 2 different dealerships.. I'll tell you! We loved the personality of the guy sat Ken Garff Nissan! BUT when it came to buying our car we went with Autosource motors in Woods Cross. It was GREAT. and they helped us out. The whole process took a while at the place we picked! BUT it's because they are so good with ALL the details. We fell safe and taken care of with them.

(Here is a shot of Sean driving the new car out of the parking lot!)

Planning our whole road trip out last night! Getting work done so we can leave and know exactly what we are doing and where we are going!
Yesterday morning I did my nails.. For probably the last time for the next two weeks... And they ROCK oh-my-goodness! I'm so in love! My cute sister Megan told me about this! You just pain tape! The colors you want! THEN let it dry and cut it and place it on your nail! AND CLEAR COAT THE CRAP OUT OF IT! it looks fantastic! The pink color is right on my nails. And the yellow and teal are on the tape. (Packing tape)

So I was called to young women's about a month ago and the girls ADORE Chase.. Like.. LOVE.. OBSESSED.. LOOOOVE my baby. They are so cute with him. And he loves them too.. We will be sad to leave our beehives!
Chase's master tent! The big square is from Grandma Stewart and the tunnel we are borrowing from Kristin and Diego!! HE LOVES IT!! he throws toys down it and chases them and LOVEs if I visit him in there...
