the big 3-0

Sean has a little big birthday coming up... it's right around the corner! We (i) have been talking about this day for years actually.... and it's almost here!!!! SEAN! you will be 30 in a few days. So excited to celebrate with you. To celebrate your LIFE!!! (thus far)

Things just get better with age...

Sean.. definitely has aged well. I'm so glad he is mine! Rockin personality! Fabulous bod! (he keeps that a 10) And his 'dad' ability just keeps getting better and better. Sean was as good as they come in supporting me being the mom of Chase and cheering me on. (He totally helped and did great things BUT I had a hard time sharing so he let me do all the mothering I wanted and totally rooted me on) and NOW!? Chase is a bouncing, running, jumping, football throwing little man and Sean? Is in heaven. They play. They 'fight' they wrestle. And tickle each other. They TEAM up!?? um OKAY.. I'm totally outnumbered and they love it. I usually have a little warning before I am pounced upon. It goes something like this.

"Chase, lets go get mom" Sean whispers. giggles... from both husband and son.

The sneaking begins. Then.....

POUNCE!

my boys get me.

Yes everything gets better with age it seems.. (till about 30.) KIDDING SEAN!! hahahahahaaa
Can't believe my boyfriend husband is nearing his 30's. But I'm so excited for our 30s. and by ours I mean HIS! I'll be enjoying my 20's for a few more years... wheeeeew. But we can both enjoy what the 30's bring. Stability. A good job. Life has become less unpredictable and we are more sure of ourselves and where we stand as a family with the world and we are happy in the fact that we have worked hard. Studied hard. Prayed Hard and loved hard to be where we are! Let's enjoy the 30's! (i'll be enjoying it from my mid 20's.) LOVE LOVE LOVE my husband

So back in the day (like... 10 years ago??) When I was about 16, my dad used to wear a shirt that said
"The older I get, the better i was" it was a gag gift from his wrestling team from Stanwood High where we used to go to school.  I always thought it was so funny! And that my parents were so old!... oh dear... I think it means I'm getting older to know that I now appreciate that a number actually doesn't make you old!??? I mean.. come on. Sean and I are fun! We laugh and enjoy our life and stay up late!(Sean doesn't like that part) we date (each other) as often as we can (so like twice in the last 10 months) and we listen to music in the car! We live minutes from one of the most fabulous cities in the world! And we are happy! We are young! 30 is just a number I guess! But Sean gets to own that number shortly!

totally love that man....

back in the day.. BEFORE we got engaged!

FLASHback to 2010

I remember whenit was so hard to think of how great the future could be. And NOW?? Life is complete. Here we are now, mom and dad and baby Stewart. Happy little family... And getting ready to try and expand. I couldn't think of a good way to describe the difference between trying for #1 and trying for #2.  Click on that link and take a little read if you have time. It's quite the change.  I love being a mommy.

Chapter 5. fertility and drugs again!

The first four chapters included:
Chapter 1. Marriage
Chapter 2. Law School
Chapter 3. Pregnancy and baby Chase
Chapter 4. Relocating to Washington DC
Chapter 5. Time to work on baby number 2. (Fertility and drugs again)

Last time we wanted to have a baby I took some time before really blogging about it. It had been so hard and the journey was long. This time I am going to talk about it a little more before the desperation sets in. But I'm positive things will be different this time around with my mentality of hope and not feeling as sad. First of all, we know we have the ability to get pregnant and have a child. Secondly, I have Chase already. He is a loving little handful that keeps me busy every day all day long. I don't have time to sit and think about what I'm missing. Third, we know if we can't have any more kids (for whatever reason) we already have Chase. He is my angel. When he was born I used to tell Sean that Chase was (and he still is) my angel of love and mercy. Sent straight to be a balm for my aching heart. So with that being said, we are excited and optimistic to start the fertility process again. We are planning for March to start meeting with a specialist and we can't wait! And Chase wants a brother. He practically begs for one. (we can't ever leave cousin playdates without tears. Heaven forbid we have to go back to our house and play with just mom!)
So we actually have been trying since last August for baby number two and the natural thing isn't working for us. We are excited to really get started with all the injections and pills and checkups. It might not sound fun but the end result is an amazing one. So we cannot wait to get going! Baby number 2 we can't wait to meet you!!

Nice work Sean...

So... (drumroll please!
....................................................

Sean got a JOB!!!!
(he was doing a clerkship before)
(took me a little bit of time to update my blog)
and.............we (Chase, Sean and myself) are thrilled!
It's an amazing and exciting job.
It is also the perfect fit for my husband.
Those of you who know him,
know that he loves a few things more than most others.
They are:
1. Wife and Son
2. Gym.
3. Politics
4. World events.
Well? How convenient!
He is able to work in a field he loves!
Sean is now an employee of Senator Mike Lee.

He started the interview process back in December and had a few follow up interviews and we have been waiting to hear back. And the waiting paid off. YES! Sean now gets to research current events. Talk politics and viewpoints all day. Do correspondence with others who also want to talk politics all from the comfort of his desk on Capitol Hill. He is in HEAVEN! And the benefits are great. Health insurance and dental and he loves to be able to meet all these different people from all around the country (and even the world). I'm excited! He is excited! Chase is confused as to why dad is gone again most of the day, but he is happy to see dad when he gets home! Anyways.... We are super excited! Beyond excited! THRILLED! Ecstatic! Tickled pink! Looks like we will be living out here for a while! We are looking forward to putting down some roots. We have come to really love the city out here and are so glad to be able to stay. We will miss Utah and being close to family, but out here we have family and are making friends and Chase has cousins close by (as in.. on the other side of our apartment door) So we are all happy to make this our home HOME!.

(love you mom)

Wedded Bliss!

been a while!! so Merry Christmas and all that.

We had a very large very fun very Stewart family Christmas this year. We flew out to Utah to meet up with Lance and Erica and their cute babies and the rest of the Stewarts. It was a blast. Got to see family and friends we have missed and played and played.. That is until the colds started. Here are some pictures of Christmas!! We had such a great time and it was so so wonderful to be back together with them all. THANKS MOM AND DAD STEWART for bringing us all home. It was fabulous!!!!!

We flew out December 16 and came home to Virginia January 2nd. It was long but GOOD.

We went to City Creek a few times.
Temple Square a couple times.
My family (The Floyd's) were all in town for the wedding (Trevor and Melanie)
So we went to the Bountiful Temple
Shooting
hanging out with them. That was great too!!! We spent Christmas Eve with them.
